5:00 a.m. (CDT) -- Arriving at O'Hare
At 5 a.m., I arrived at O'Hare Airport's Terminal 3 to start my daylong playoff odyssey that will take me from Chicago to Boston and then back to Chicago covering along the way a pair of Chicago playoff games. The first will be at 11:30 am, when the Chicago Bulls' opening game of the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs begins in Boston. I honestly don't even know the name of the arena that the Celtics play in. I know that it's not the Boston Garden. I hope my cabbie at Logan Airport knows. After the Bulls' game, I head back to Chicago for Game 2 of the Blackhawks' series against Calgary. My flight doesn't arrive back at O'Hare until 7:06 p.m., so it might be a little tight making it to the United Center for the 8 p.m. puck drop, but I am optimistic that all will work out fine.
