The stalwart defenseman was not on the ice for the morning skate at Rogers Arena after traveling with the team to Canada for another do-or-die contest and will not be in the lineup for a second straight game.
Seabrook missed Game 4 after taking a shoulder-to-head hit in Game 3 from the Canucks' Raffi Torres. But he wasn't the only Hawks defenseman missing from the ice Thursday morning either, with Duncan Keith and Niklas Hjalmarsson also among the missing.
"Obviously (Seabrook) is a big part of their team, he's one of the best shut-down (defensemen) in the league, and obviously he's able to log a lot of minutes," Canucks winger Alexander Burrows said Thursday morning. "At the same time we've played against him before, we know what he's got and we can't focus on what he's bringing. We have to focus on what we have to do to be successful."
