Lower Macungie commissioners to consider two housing proposals

Lower Macungie Township's Board of Commissioners on Thursday night will discuss two significant development proposals up for approval. Woodmont Properties and Weis Markets are seeking conditional use approval to build a new Weis supermarket and apartments along Route 100 near the Allen Organ property. The Fields at Indian Creek LLC, meanwhile, is asking for preliminary approval for a plan that calls for 200-plus 55-and-over homes, a community center and pool on the former Indian Creek Golf Course, located in Lower Macungie, Upper Milford and Emmaus.
