CES: Walgreens, Qualcomm team up on devices that link to pharmacists

LAS VEGAS — Walgreens is launching a line of connected blood pressure and glucose readers that automatically send user information to company pharmacists. The new product line is part of a partnership with Qualcomm Life, a health care technology company that provides the platform for the product line and will facilitate communication among devices and apps for the Walgreens loyalty rewards program. Qualcomm announced the partnership with Deerfield-based Walgreens this week during the Consumer Electronics Show, which ends Friday.
