UCF breaks ground on new facility Knights hope will help keep coach Scott Frost

UCF is laying the groundwork — literally — to push its facilities to a Power 5 level and hopefully keep head football coach Scott Frost around for a while.

Before Saturday’s contest, athletics director Danny White led a groundbreaking ceremony to celebrate construction on the new Roth Athletics Center, the headquarters of athletics administration. The two-story, 38,000-square-foot building will also house the school’s hall of fame honors, the Golden Knights operations and Olympic sports coaches such as the men’s and women’s soccer staff.
