Hammond Middle's robotics team Cherry Pi scores a win [North Laurel/Savage]

Way to go Cherry Pi! Hammond Middle School had two teams enter the First Lego League Robotics Tournament. One team named Cherry Pi won first place in the Overall Champions Award category and will be moving on to the state competition on March 1. That will be held at UMBC. To enter the contest, teams must focus on problem solving using creativity and analytical thinking. Then in September, teams are given a challenge and eight weeks to research, brainstorm, design and build a fully autonomous robot.
