Despite several mistakes in her free skate, Gracie Gold wound up with the first senior Grand Prix medal of her career Saturday in Moscow.
Gold, who had a small lead after the short program, finished second in both the free skate and overall to Finland’s Kiira Korpi, the reigning European Championships silver medalist.
"There were a lot of flaws and there is room to improve," Gold said. "(But) getting a medal here was a big confidence boost, (because I was) feeling insecure and no confidence after Skate Canada.
