Mid-Atlantic Sports Network broadcaster Jim Hunter drove down late Wednesday morning to Richmond, Va., to handle play-by-play for the Virginia Commonwealth-Duquesne men's basketball game. The game tipped off at 7 p.m. and ended in regulation.
Hunter didn't get back to Fallston until about 7 a.m. Thursday.
He was tweeting the whole time, too, but that's not why it took him nearly 10 hours to reach home. It's just that when you're stuck on a highway after a whole inch of snowfall paralyzes traffic, people tend to have time to do things. Like tweet. Or play solitaire. Or belt out Taylor Swift's many jams. (OK, maybe that's just me.)
