Adam May joins WBAL-TV as anchor and reporter

WBAL-TV has hired former Al Jazeera America correspondent Adam May as weekend anchor and weekday reporter, the Hearst-owned station announced today.

May, a Baltimore resident who worked out of Al Jazeera’s Washington bureau, came to the short-lived cable channel in 2013 from WJZ-TV, where he had worked since 2003. He was a weekend anchor and weekday reporter his last seven years at Baltimore’s CBS-owned station.

Before coming to WJZ, May worked at WHAS-TV in Louisville, Ky., and WAAY-TV in Huntsville, Ala. He started in broadcasting at WBJR in Duluth, Minn. He is a graduate of the University of Minnesota, where he majored in communications.
