The J.M. Smucker Company has purchased a 175,000-square-foot warehouse next to its manufacturing plant in Havre de Grace for $3 million, according to MacKenzie Commercial Real Estate Services, LLC, which brokered the transaction.
The 16-acre property at 350 Old Bay Lane was sold by Constar International, which makes plastic containers. Most of Constar's assets were acquired in a bankruptcy auction last month by Michigan based Plastipak Packaging, Inc.
The building was constructed in 1973 and has 15 loading docks, according to MacKenzie.
