A man was pulled from the confluence of the Susquehanna River and Chesapeake Bay Tuesday morning after falling out of a boat, fire officials said. First responders from Susquehanna Hose Company responded around 11:45 a.m. for a call of a person in the water, Scott Hurst, chief of the Susquehanna Hose Company, said. The man was fishing near the Concord Point Lighthouse and fell out of a kayak, Hurst said. The man was evaluated by emergency personnel, but refused to be taken to the hospital. Hurst said the man was middle-aged.
