Two Aberdeen homes were damaged by fires on Monday.
The first fire was reported shortly before 2 p.m. in the first block of Grant Street, the Harford County Fire & EMS Association reported.
It was initially reported as a possible rescue, as a girl was believed to be inside, but no one was found, the association said on its media Facebook page.
The fire was "quickly contained," according to the association, and no injuries were reported.
Preliminary investigation by the Office of the State Fire Marshal concluded the fire was caused by an electrical malfunction within a home air purifier and originated in a bedroom.
