NEWPORT NEWS — The little girl held the dollar bill out gingerly, her body language a combination of nervousness and utter fascination. The diminutive monkey takes the bill from her, places it in Jerry Brown's cap, and rewards the little girl with a kiss on the nose. "She's so cute," 9-year-old Maggie Gibson of Williamsburg squealed excitedly. "I can't believe a monkey just kissed me!" Brown, an entertainer from Lancaster, Pa., has been bringing Django, his Capuchin monkey, to the Newport News Fall Festival of Folklife for more than a decade.
