Sinclair removes its TV stations from Playstation Vue

Sinclair Broadcast Group Inc. has removed all the ABC, CBS, Fox and NBC affiliated TV stations it owns from Sony’s TV streaming service, PlayStation Vue, citing a contractual dispute with Sony.

The Hunt Valley-based broadcaster said it pulled the stations after Sony failed to comply with contractual provisions. The move affects all PlayStation Vue subscribers in markets where Sinclair owns those network-affiliated stations.

“We regret Sony was not willing to meet certain requirements for carrying our stations,” Barry Faber, Sinclair’s executive vice president for network relations and distribution, said in an announcement earlier this week.
