A New York man died Sunday after a car crash on the Baltimore-Washington Parkway in which police believe drag racing was a factor, U.S. Park Police officials said.
Police responded to reports of a collision on Sunday afternoon, and found an overturned red Chevrolet Tahoe and a white Dodge Charger involved in a wreck on the parkway, about one mile south of Powder Mill Road. Both cars had New York tags.
Three people in the Tahoe were taken via ambulance to Prince George’s Hospital Center, police said in a news release. A 53-year-old man from Brooklyn, New York, who was riding in the back seat, was pronounced dead at the hospital.
