Friends may be leaving prime time, but fans don't have far to go to find it elsewhere on the tube:
Spinoff: There will still be a bit of Friends available Thursday nights at 8 next fall, when NBC introduces Joey, starring Matt LeBlanc. The new sitcom will follow Joey Tribbiani as he moves to Los Angeles, where he lives with his sister Gina (Drea de Matteo of Sopranos fame), a hairdresser, and her son. David Schwimmer is scheduled to direct an episode, and he and other Friends cast members have promised guest appearances.
Reruns: A Friends fix is available six days a week on area TV channels. Reruns air on TBS, Fox 45 Baltimore and Fox 5 in Washington Monday through Saturday, most often between 6:30 and 7:30 p.m. Fox 5 also airs Friends at 11 p.m. weeknights.
