William Smith has been a member at the Towson Family Center Y since he moved to the area in 1997.There's no doubt in his mind that the facility — built in the 1950s — needs to be replaced.
It's the location and size of the proposed new building that has Smith and several of his neighbors concerned.
"I don't think it is a good site for the building," Smith said of plans to build the new Towson Y along the northern boundary of the center's property. "We're not interested in stopping the building. We just want them to push it over a little bit."
