    Arthur Miller and Tennessee Williams would hardly recognize the neighborhood. Gone are the porno palaces of Times Square, replaced by what actor Jim Dale calls &quot;Disney's Broadway World," a mass-appeal theme park built on pre-sold brands such as "The Lion King" and "Tarzan." The kind of stars once eager to skip low-paying stage roles for Hollywood fame and riches now seek out Broadway auditions for the sheer prestige of it. The number of ticketholders has swelled to 12 million, and all 39 Broadway playhouses were booked last season, with a backlog of shows vying to get into them.
