Take Route 309 north from 22. The corner of Huckleberry and 309 is nice. You'll pass Orefield Middle School on your right and a Gulf station on your left, where you'll turn left on Sieger Drive just before the Kernsville light. Bear right to see the giant spread at 2822 Thompson St.
Back on 309, turn left. Bear right at the 873 split. You'll pass Old Post on your right and Hill and Star on your left before turning left at Friedens Road. Keep going until you hit Christmas Lane, where you'll turn right. The glowing stars over the street are their trademark, but there's plenty more to see and hear.
Return to 873, turn left and head into Slatington. After the road curves right, turn left at the Bechtel's Pharmacy, Centre Street before it turns into Oakhurst. It'll curve left, and then you'll turn left on Morris and follow it to the intersection with Sunrise.
Get back to Main Street, Slatington, and turn left. Before you hit the shopping center, turn right on Lincoln, right on Second and right on Washington for a pretty little circuit. Then continue out of Walnutport and straight onto Mountain View Drive/946.
Here's a long stretch through Lehigh Township, but it's worth it. Look for the sign that says you're entering Moore Township. You'll immediately pass Hower Road and then turn right on Teel Road. Make your second right onto Wood Road, park at the turnaround at the top and explore the Disney wonders of the display at 914 Wood*. Feel free to walk past The Little Mermaid and into the back yard to see more, including "fireworks" in the tree.
Back at Teel, turn right and then right again at Teel Run Road to see another terrific display at 959 Teel Run.
Continue your trek east on 946 until you hit 512, where you'll turn right and head south. Go through Bath and you'll eventually see Jacksonville Road, where you'll turn right. This is the optimal angle to approach the spectacular finale at 7475 Arrowwood.
If you keeping going, you'll find yourself on 329 heading toward the lights of Northampton and Catasauqua. Or turn left there, right on Locust and you'll find yourself on 987/Airport Road.
