Democratic Presidential candidate Barack Obama spoke before the largest crowd of his campaign Thursday afternoon in Germany as he continued his international tour through Europe and the Middle East. In front of 200,000 people at the Tiergarten's Victory Column in Berlin, not far from where presidents John F. Kennedy and Ronald Reagan made famous speeches during the cold war, Obama stressed that "the walls between old allies on either side of the Atlantic cannot stand." Obama will continue on to France and Great Britain before returning stateside.

After drinking with friends to celebrate his 21st birthday, a Penn State University student from Emmaus was arrested early Thursday morning after allegedly holding a one-man football practice at the team facilities and then tried to walk away with the Alamo Bowl trophy. Junior Daniel Costenbader was charged with burglary, criminal trespassing, criminal michief, theft, receiving stolen property and public drunkeness. Costenbader registered a .18 percent blood-alcohol ratio following the incident.

An additional $5,000 has been added to the reward for information leading to an arrest in the killing of 55-year-old Gary Redner, the supermarket executive slain at his Berks County home in March. A release from Crime Alert Berks County indicated the reward is now $100,000. Redner was found beaten to death March 10 at his red brick home in Lower Heidelberg Township.
