Musicians are needed for the sixth annual Battle of the 2-Day Bands, which runs April 15-17 at the Red Rooster Coffee House, 202 S. Main St.
The battle is hosted by the Fallout Creative Community.
Musicians may register at Pauer Sound, 216 S. Main St, and Music or the Red Rooster. The registration fee is $5. The opening ceremonies are at 6 p.m. April 15 at the Red Rooster.
At the opening ceremonies, musicians will be put into random groups. These groups are given instructions and creative elements to include in a three-song set that they will perform April 17 for judges and an audience.
The performances, or battle, will begin at 1:30 p.m. April 17 at the Red Rooster. Admission will be $4.
A Battle of the 2-Day bands will be happening simultaneously in Mankato, Minn., and a month later in Minneapolis. Those events are being put on by musicians who participated in past battles in Aberdeen.
The winners of the Aberdeen and Mankato events will receive cash prizes and the opportunity to travel to Minneapolis to perform at the Battle of the 2-Day bands being put on by Anti-Civ Records.
