Bentley performed at the Aberdeen event in 2005.
Tritt will headline the 2012 fair's opening concert on Aug. 16. Bentley will headline the closing show on Aug. 18.
We are very excited about the first two acts announced for the fair, fair manager Amy Scott said Monday. The expertise of our great fair board and our entertainment committee just pulled it all together.
She also credited the Romeo Entertainment Group, which hires the talent for the fair.
Still to be announced are one more headliner and three opening acts.
Two of those openers are up and coming, Scott said.
Bentley, 37, is an Arizona native. His No. 1 songs are What Was I Thinkin', Come a Little Closer, Settle for a Slowdown, Every Mile a Memory, Free and Easy (Down the Road I Go), Feel That Fire and Sideways.
Tritt, a Georgia native, turns 49 on Feb. 9. Between 1990 and 1994, Tritt had four No. 1 hits - Help Me Hold On, Anymore, Can I Trust You With My Heart and Foolish Pride. His other hits include T-R-O-U-B-L-E. and Lord Have Mercy on the Working Man.
Tickets go on sale June 15.
It's not yet known if ticket prices will increase, Scott said.
