920 Foothill Blvd.: A woman's wallet was stolen from her purse while she shopped at Sprouts Market between 3 and 3:30 p.m. Friday, March 23. A credit card from the wallet was later used to obtain a $4,000 cash advance.
5500 block of Burning Tree Drive: A $300 bicycle was stolen from an open garage between 1 p.m. on Wednesday, March 21, and 6:30 p.m. Friday, March 23.
521 Foothill Blvd.: A woman's wallet was stolen from her purse while she shopped at Ralphs supermarket between 1:30 p.m. and 1:40 p.m. Friday, March 23.
800 block of Highland Drive: Front and rear windows of a Porsche Cayenne SUV were smashed with an unknown object between 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 21, and 2 p.m. on Thursday, March 22.
4600 block of Oak Grove: A woman's backpack purse, containing approximately $500 in cash, was stolen from an unlocked vehicle at the Flintridge Riding Club between 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. on Wednesday, March 21. A club worker reported seeing a suspicious person in a dark-colored Chrysler van prior to the theft.
2647 Foothill Blvd.: An 18-year-old male was arrested for shoplifting a bottle of Jack Daniels whiskey from Rite Aid at 11:40 a.m. Wednesday, March 21. He had been escorted from the store for suspicious behavior and was found afterward to have the bottle in his backpack.
2500 block of Fairway Lane: A Michael Kors purse containing a Coach wallet was stolen from an unlocked car between 7 and 7:30 p.m. on Sunday, March 25.
2300 block of Del Mar Road: A red Nissan Frontier pickup truck, and the 50 copies of the Los Angeles Times in its bed, was stolen at around 3:30 p.m. Saturday, March 24. The driver was hand-delivering a stack of newspapers and had left the keys in the truck with the engine running when a man jumped into the truck and drove off.
3030 Foothill Blvd.: A woman was arrested for stealing a Seagate hard drive worth $161 from Office Depot with a duct-tape-and-foil-lined purse, or “booster bag,” at 2:11 p.m. Thursday, March 22. A security officer saw the woman putting the hard drive in her purse, which was also found to contain an alpha key, a magnetized device used to remove security sensors on retail merchandise.
