( Times Community News / October 27, 2012 ) The Verdugo Hills Golf Course was used as a as a detention center for Japanese-Americans in the early 1940s following the attack on Pearl Harbor. L.A. City Councilman Richard Alarcon hopes the course's history will save it from being shuttered. |
