COSTA MESA — She stood in the far corner of the Christian Louboutin boutique at South Coast Plaza in shoes that sparkled like diamonds piled neatly on her feet.
Kristin Davis, one of the stars of "Sex and the City," which inspired women the world over to discover their inner fashionistas, attended the boutique's second anniversary party Thursday night.
Louboutin, a French designer, is known for his red-soled shoes. The boutique showed off selected Louboutins from his Resort 2011 collection. The line is expected to be released gradually through December.
As she scouted some of the sky-high heels , which sat on pedestals like sculptures, one black-laced 6-inch heel caught Davis' eye.
She took a seat in an antique floral chair, took off one of her sparkly shoes and tried on the so-called "Pampas."
The guests watched and chatted among each other about how beautiful the shoes were.
Davis, who often wore Louboutin shoes on the "Sex and the City" set, said she really liked the new Pampas. Those surrounding her took pictures with cameras and iPhones.
Her appearance wasn't without a cause. About 10% of the proceeds from Thursday night's party will benefit her charity, the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust. She also took the time to chat and pose for pictures with shoppers and guests.Copyright © 2014, The Baltimore Sun
