Spotlite 2012 Business Fair
Businesses representing the small business community will be on hand at a business fair, taking place from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Pacific Ballroom at UC Irvine. The event will be free (including lunch) and open to the public. For more information, call (949) 824-5942.

Mounds of the Earth
A local band Mounds of the Earth, which recently released its first album and features Newport Harbor High School graduates Barry Sexton, Pedro Mancillas, Tommy Steenrod and John Leal, will play at La Cave, 1695 Irvine Ave., Costa Mesa. The 21-and-older show starts at 10 p.m. and is free.

All-Day Program at Concordia
The Concordia University Center for Public Policy presents a one-day program on "Creating High Performance Government in Orange County and Beyond," with Harvard University Kennedy School of Government professor Bob Behn.
