Speedway police search for multiple suspects after home invasion

Speedway, Ind.

Speedway police said a man wearing a Halloween mask and as many as five others were involved in an armed robbery and home invasion early Monday morning.

Police said the group forced their way into an apartment in the 1700 block of Foyt Drive in Sanford Court, located off High School Road just south of 21st Street.

Officers said the armed suspects displayed several guns as they made their way into the apartment around 1:30 a.m.

Two people were said to be home at the time. Police said they were checked out by medics and were shaken, but not injured.

It is unknown at this time what the suspects took from the home.

Police searched the area near the apartments and said they do have two persons of interest in the case.  They said four others could potentially be involved.

Officers said the mask recovered at the scene was a non-descriptive white mask. If you know anything about this crime, call CrimeStoppers at 262-TIPS.
