Two of the most popular family Halloween attractions in Central Indiana are kicking off this weekend!
The Annual Boo at the Zoo begins Friday and runs from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. each Friday, Saturday and Sunday for the rest of the month.
On Saturday, the 49th Annual Haunted House at the Children's Museum opens this Saturday for ghosts and goblins of all ages, and this year’s theme is the Wicked Workshop.
From the Broom Room to the Ghost Post, visitors will travel through 15 sections of the workshop to see all things Halloween created.
The annual haunted house raises hundreds of thousands of dollars for the non-profit children's museum each year.
Co-chairperson for the 2012 haunted house, Kate Orme said the haunted house appeals to everyone in the family.
"More half of our visitors come to our lights on hours where it's not quite as frightening and people aren't jumping out it's more of a trick-or-treat experience where we have a giveaway for everyone that comes through," said Orme.
More than 63,000 people visited the haunted house last year and organizers expect even more this year.
