Central Indiana nonprofit charities are making a last-minute push this holiday season to help those less fortunate.
Charities like the Salvation Army and the United Way say donations are steady right now, but the with the country's continued economic struggles, the need is greater and they hope folks will celebrate the season by donating.
Timmy Global Health works to expand health care around the world and right here in Indiana.
Timmy has a chance to win a million dollars through the American Giving Awards later this week and all it takes to help is by voting online.
"People are always looking for ways to support non-profits. They can do that by giving by volunteering, but this is a way they can do it by simply clicking a button," said Timmy Global Health executive Director Matt MacGregor.
Timmy Global Health is one of 25 nationwide non-profits and the only one here in Indiana that's up for the award.
