The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department is investigating reports of a home invasion on Indianapolis’ west side early Friday morning.

Police were dispatched to the 7700 block of Platini Place in the Westwood subdivision, just off Girls School Road, around 3:30 a.m.

Four people, two men and two women described as college-aged, told police four men held them hostage for over an hour, while they stole items in their home.   The victims told police the armed suspects kicked in the front door, and then they stole a van and a debit card.

A 911 call was made by a neighbor, after one of the victims managed to get away.

Police say there are three suspects for certain, but there is a possibility of a fourth.

The van the suspects are accused of taking is described as a 2005 light blue Chrysler Town and Country minivan.  It is reported to have damage on the front end.  It has an Indiana license plate QQ3048.

Police are investigating and interviewing the victims.  They say all the suspects were not injured. Police are not saying if the victims know the suspects.
