Butler saw its four-game winning streak come to an end after a poor start against Detroit.

The Titans jumped out to an early 25-8 lead and never looked back in a 76-65 win over the Bulldogs at the Calihan Hall.

Jason Calliste had a game-high 16 points for Detroit while Chase Simon chipped in 15. Ronald Nored had 13 for Butler, who falls to 3-2 in the Horizon League and to 9-8 overall.

Behind Calliste and Simon, the Titans raced out to the early 17 point lead eight minutes into the game. That lead only grew in the second half, getting as big as 21 before the Bulldogs made a run to bring the lead down to 11 in the final moments.
