Tradition is important at Plymouth.

The Rockies learned that the hard way last year.

Coach John Barron tried to implement a new offense, which features a lot more of the option. And it didn't work, resulting in a lot more turnovers and a lot more losses.

He's scrapped that and gone back to the basics, and it's paying off in practice already.

"We're going to a base set up flex offensively," Barron said. "We have a three-year starter at quarterback that is much more comfortable with it, and a kid that's been a three-year starter at fullback, and we have some pretty experienced linemen now. So it looks a lot better in practice right now than it did at the end of the year."
