Currently in fifth place with 27 points in the Central Collegiate
Hockey Association, some seven points behind first-place Ohio State,
the Irish host No. 10 Michigan Friday and Saturday night.
The Wolverines --14-8-4 overall -- are in third place in the
conference with 29 points, thanks to an 8-6-4-1 CCHA record.
"They're one of the hottest teams in our league right now," said Irish
co-captain Sean Lorenz of the Wolverines who not only just swept
first-place Ohio State by scores of 4-1 and 4-0, but are 6-0-2 in
their last eight games.
"Watching them on film, they're skating well," Lorenz said. "That's
going to be a big point of emphasis this weekend, making sure we stay
