(Germantown, TN 8/5/2010) Germantown officials have released the reults of an internal review of the handling of a 911 call possibly related to the murder of Lorenen Wright.
The review states a 911 operator did not hear a voice on the call but did hear sounds that, "...appeared to have been gunshots, but were also described as being fireworks."
Operators were found to have followed current 911 protocol but, "The department conducts reviews of policies and procedures as times change, as different situations occur, as technology changes, as laws are amended or enacted and as necessary to enhance prompt response to emergency situations. As a result, policies and procedures will evolve to address those considerations"
The statements to the left have to do with a call that may have come from Lorenzen Wright or his cell phone shortly before he was killed.
There have been a lot of questions about the call and how it was handled.
Wright was reported missing from Collierville a few days after the 911 call came into Germantown, his body was later found in a field.
