Maryland men's basketball will open 2018-19 season against Delaware at home

The Maryland men’s basketball team will open its 2018-19 season Nov. 6 against Delaware at Xfinity Center, according to a report by Jon Rothstein.

While the full schedule won’t be released until late summer, it was the fifth nonconference game that has been reported or announced.

The Terps will play Navy in Annapolis as part of the Veterans Classic on Nov. 10. Maryland will also face Marshall, Mount St. Mary’s and Hofstra.

Maryland will also not be part of the Gavitt Tipoff Games against a Big East team for the first time in its four years.

The team’s matchup in the Big Ten-ACC Challenge won’t be announced until early next month.
