In this week’s recruiting roundup, the Terps see the size of their football class triple.

Football recruiting

-- Class of 2015 offensive lineman target Ellis McKenzie (McDonogh) committed to Maryland on Wednesday. The 6-foot-3, 285-pound three-star prospect is the third publicly known member of the Terps’ class.

-- Class of 2015 running back target Deltron Sands, a three-star prospect out of St. Thomas Aquinas High (Fla.), committed to Maryland last Friday.

-- Class of 2015 quarterback target Kai Locksley could be looking to accelerate his decision timetable.

-- Class of 2015 defensive back target Chris Barr has Maryland among his top 10 schools, as of Wednesday.

-- Class of 2015 tight end target Chris Cunningham also included Maryland among his top 10 on Wednesday.

Basketball recruiting

-- Class of 2015 forward target Esa Ahmad feels that Maryland, Ohio State and West Virginia have been recruiting him the hardest.

-- Class of 2015 guard target Allonzo Trier shined brightest among Terps prospects in recent Nike Elite Youth Basketball League action.
