Football recruiting

-- Class of 2015 wide receiver target Brandon Polk committed to Penn State on Tuesday.

-- Class of 2015 defensive back target Marcus Lewis is transferring from Gonzaga (D.C.) to IMG Academy (Fla.), likely squeezing the Terps further out of contention for the four-star prospect.

Basketball recruiting

-- Terps guard signees Melo Trimble and Dion Wiley will participate in the Capital Classic, held April 26 at T.C. Williams (Va.). They’ll play with the Capital All-Stars; the U.S. All-Stars have yet to be announced. -- Terps center signee Trayvon Reed will participate in the Jordan Brand Classic's Regional Game, featuring the top players in the greater New York area, on April 18.
