In this week's recruiting roundup, a future Terp comes to Comcast Center for a playoff game and, maybe, a preview of what's to come.
-- Class of 2015 defensive back target Ashton White decommited from Virginia Tech on Saturday and reportedly will visit Maryland unofficially. This is the second time White has pledged to the Hokies, only to renege.
-- Class of 2015 offensive line target Ellis McKennie (McDonogh) visited Sunday for the Terps' win over Virginia. It's his second recruiting trip to Maryland, an early favorite for the three-star prospect.
-- Class of 2014 guard commit Melo Trimble scored a game-high 25 points Thursday in a 72-66 win over No. 2 Mount St. Joseph in the opening round of the Alhambra Catholic Invitational at Frostburg State. Trimble and Bishop O'Connell (Va.) face Benedictine (Va.) at 5:45 p.m. today.
-- Class of 2014 guard commit Dion Wiley had a game-high 30 points, including five 3-pointers, Friday in a 101-63 win over Oakland Mills in the Class 2A South regional championship Friday. Highlights from the rout are below. You can also view the entire game here, if you're that into that kind of recruiting completism.
Wiley and Potomac face No. 5 Patterson at Comcast Center in the state semifinals at 9 p.m. tonight.
-- Class of 2015 guard target Terance Mann is among a number of rising prospects to garner Terps offers recently.
-- Class of 2015 forward target Esa Ahmad finished with 37 points and 10 rebounds in an 81-54 win Saturday with an unnamed Terps assistant in attendance. The four-star prospect reportedly is set to visit Maryland soon.
