In this week's roundup, we offer one final update, hopefully, on Jalen Tabor.
-- Speaking of which: Tabor committed to Arizona on Thursday, capping a long, strange recruitment for the Class of 2014 defensive back target.
-- Class of 2014 athlete commit Will Ulmer was working out as a wide receiver at the Under Armour All-America High School Football game this week.
-- Class of 2014 defensive end commit Jesse Aniebonam has picked up his play at the US Army All-American Bowl practices. The game is to be played at 1 p.m. Saturday on NBC.
-- Class of 2014 guard commit Melo Trimble had 17 points in a 55-52 win Monday.
-- Class of 2014 guard commit Dion Wiley is dealing with a lingering foot injury.
-- Class of 2014 center commit Trayvon Reed had 16 points, seven rebounds and seven blocks in a 75-40 win last Friday. Reed is "improving every game offensively," his coach said.
-- Class of 2014 wing commit Jared Nickens had 20 points in a 68-61, triple-overtime win last week. Nickens "displayed a nice combination of athleticism and shooting ability. Nickens moves well coming off screens and is more comfortable in a catch-and-shoot situation than putting it on the deck." A couple of days later, he had 27 points in a 64-61 win, stating his case for "the best offensive player in the area and quite the highlight reel type of player."
For highlights of Nickens' 20-point outing, look below. Nickens, No. 11 in brown, has a rim-rattling dunk at the 3:20 mark. Also worth watching is teammate and center Georgios Papagiannis (No. 12), a Class of 2015 prospect and early Terps target.
