In this week's roundup, the football recruiting target list continues to shrink as the Terps' commit list grows.

Football recruiting

-- Class of 2014 offensive lineman Sean Christie, a three-star prospect out of Patchogue-Medford (N.Y.), committed to Maryland on Sunday.

-- Class of 2014 long-snapper Nate Adams, a two-star prospect out of Greenway (Ariz.), committed to Maryland on Thursday.

-- Class of 2014 offensive line commit Larry Mazyck signed a national letter of intent and is enrolling for spring practice. The 6-foot-7, 340-pounder was named an National Junior College Athletic Association All-American this season at Iowa Western Community College.

-- Class of 2014 defensive back commit Jordan Noil had another interception in a 31-14 win in Norcross’ (Ga.) Class AAAAAA state championship game. The end to his season puts a cap on all Class of 2014 Terps commits’ high school careers.

-- Class of 2014 offensive line target Brock Ruble committed to Florida State last Friday.

-- Class of 2014 offensive line target Marcus Applefield committed to Rutgers less than an hour later.

-- Class of 2014 defensive end-linebacker target Melvin Keihn said Thursday the he will decide between Maryland, Virginia and Virginia Tech by Christmas. The Gilman All-Metro first-team pick had 85 tackles, including 16 for loss, nine sacks and two forced fumbles this season.

-- Class of 2014 defensive back target Shawn Boone is down to two schools: Penn State and North Carolina State. 

-- Class of 2014 wide receiver-defensive back Daniel Ezeagwu has picked up a Maryland offer. Virginia also has offered the late-blooming Colonial Forge (Va.) prospect, whose highlights you can check out here.

-- Class of 2015 offensive line commit E.J. Donahue has 13-plus minutes of junior-year blocking highlights up here.

Basketball recruiting 

-- Class of 2014 guard commit Melo Trimble had a team-high 19 points in a 65-53 victory Tuesday.

-- Class of 2014 guard commit Dion Wiley averaged 15.7 points per game in three games in the past week.

-- Class of 2014 wing commit Jared Nickens had 30 points in a win Saturday. On Tuesday, at the Bullis Holiday Classic, Nickens impressed again: “Another one of the better shooters in 2014, Nickens gave Maryland fans a sneak peak of what they can look forward to next season.”

-- Class of 2014 center commit Trayvon Reed had 18 points and 13 rebounds in a 66-65 loss Saturday and 10 points, six rebounds and three blocks in a 52-43 win Tuesday. Terrapin Station MD broke down his weekend showing.

-- The second annual DMV Tip-Off Classic, held Saturday at Wise High School in Upper Marlboro, features a Romelo Trimble/Bishop O’Connell vs. Dion Wiley/Potomac 7:30 p.m. showdown. Admission is $10.
