The list of 2014 prospects with reported offers from Maryland continued to expand this week.

Jared Nickens, a three-star shooting guard from the Westtown (Pa.) School, is now on that list, according to Alex Kline.

Nickens, according to Rivals.com, also has offers from Creighton, Miami, Oklahoma, Oregon State, Penn State, Rutgers, Seton Hall and Wake Forest, among many others.

Maryland also recently offered 2014 three-star forward Terry Larrier from the Bronx, according to Kline. Check out an InsideMDSports feature on Larrier here.

Finally, Maryland has expressed interest recently in West Virginia forward and D.C. Assault member Donte Grantham, according to CBSSports.com.

West Virginia and Marshall have offered for 2013, with Cincinnati, Clemson, Wake Forest, Maryland, Xavier, Villanova and Georgetown all showing varying levels of interest.

** Karen Bush, the mother of Terps transfer target Antonio Barton (Memphis), talked to Syracuse.com about the Orange's interest in her son.

“I’ve been in contact with coach (Jim) Boeheim and he understands the process of Antonio finishing school before visiting any schools.’’

** Vertrail Vaughns, the George Mason shooting guard transfer who reportedly visited Maryland, committed Thursday to North Texas.

UNT sold Vaughns on the idea of playing both the point guard spot and on the wing next season, an approach that will allow him to develop his ball-handling skills.

** Florida shooting guard transfer Eli Carter, who considered Maryland, announced his commitment this week to Florida.

The news won’t shock those in College Park considering that the former Scarlet Knights guard took a visit to Gainesville on Sunday and Monday.

** Terps Recruiting caught up with Tre Campbell, a point guard from St. John's (D.C.) who recently picked up a Maryland offer.

He admitted no single school stands out yet, but says he expects to make his decision in the fall. And despite the Terps holding commitments from incoming guards Roddy Peters and Romelo Trimble, Campbell says it doesn't hurt their chances in landing him.

** NBCSports.com posted an update this week on Terps forward target Abdul Malik-Abu.

According to Abu, Florida, Kansas State, Iowa State, Maryland, UConn, Providence, Wisconsin and Miami have been coming at him the hardest recently. He holds offers from every one of those programs. Wisconsin is the only school to visit him, as Bo Ryan and his assistants came to his school, Kimball Union Academy (NH).

** Bishop O'Connell power forward Junior Etou, who received some Maryland interest more than a year ago, committed this week to Rutgers.

Etou — a native of the Republic of Congo — was ranked as a three-star recruit by Rivals.com and the 20th overall forward for the class of 2013. During his senior season, he averaged 16 points, 13 rebounds and 5.5 blocks per game for Bishop O'Connell.
