One of Maryland's top 2014 targets will play for a state championship Saturday at Comcast Center.

Dion Wiley scored 25 points Thursday in leading Potomac to a 64-57 win over Reservoir in a Maryland Class 3A semifinal. The Washington Post was there to recap the action.

Wiley’s three-pointer with 1 minute 17 seconds left in the third period gave the Wolverines the lead, and his triple just before the quarter-closing buzzer made increased the lead to 52-45.

Next up for Wiley's Potomac squad is a date with Milford Mill on Saturday at 3 p.m. in College Park.

** In Rivals.com's updated 2014 rankings, St. Frances forward and Terps target Dwayne Morgan is listed as a five-star prospect and the No. 13 player in the country. Maryland combo guard commitment Melo Trimble is ranked No. 56.

** Terps women's guard signee Shatori Walker-Kimbrough has been named the 2012-13 Gatorade Pennsylvania High School Girls' Basketball Player of the Year.

She averaged 28 points, 10 rebounds, six steals and four assists per game for Hopewell this season.




The 5-foot-6-inch point guard averaged over 18 points per game this past season, along with 6.9 assists, 5.1 steals and 4.9 rebounds. On offense, Brown shot 42 percent from the field, 37 percent from behind the arch and 82 percent from the free throw line.
