COLLEGE PARK — Maryland is likely to be without two starting linebackers for Saturday’s opener against James Madison.

Outside linebacker Yannik Cudjoe-Virgil (foot) is in a walking boot and will not play. Inside linebacker Cole Farrand (lower leg) is in uniform and went through warmups but will likely only play in an emergency situation.

Wide receiver Marcus Leak (lower leg) was in a walking boot during the latter part of preseason practice, but he will play.

Taivon Jacobs will start at wide receiver along with Stefon Diggs and Deon Long in place of his brother, Levern Jacobs, who was suspended for the season Friday along with backup safety A.J. Hendy.

Long and Taivon Jacobs will be the two outside receivers. Diggs will be in the slot.
