Maryland and Northern Illinois have scheduled a home-and-home series for 2020 and 2021, an athletic department source confirmed.

The game in 2020 will be played at Maryland, and the following year it will be at Northern Illinois.

The Huskies went 12-2 last season and have been to a bowl game each of the last six years.

Maryland and Northern Illinois last met in 2004, when the Terps beat the Huskies, 23-20, in College Park. The Terps are 2-1 all-time against the Huskies.

ESPN first reported the scheduling of the home-and-home series.
