On Monday, the Atlantic Coast Conference named Maryland sophomore wide receiver Stefon Diggs as the conference's Receiver of the Week.
Diggs had a career-high 179 receiving yards, including a 41-yard touchdown, in the Terps' 47-10 victory Saturday at Byrd Stadium.
In two games this season, Diggs has 11 catches for 277 yards and two touchdowns. Diggs' 179 yards were the most by a Maryland receiver since Torrey Smith had 224 against North Carolina State on Nov. 27, 2010, according to a news release from the university.
The time of the Terps' Sept. 21 game against West Virginia at M&T Bank Stadium was also announced Monday. The Terps and Mountaineers are scheduled to play at 3:30 p.m.
The game is expected to be televised on either ABC, ESPN, ESPN2 or ESPNU, with the channel to be announced by Sept. 15.Copyright © 2014, The Baltimore Sun
