Report: Terps hire Ball State defensive line coach Chad Wilt

Maryland has hired Ball State defensive line coach Chad Wilt, according to a report.

The Testudo Times reported on Saturday that Wilt had been hired and appeared to be the replacement for Greg Gattuso, who left the Terps in December to become the head coach at Albany.

Wilt briefly changed his Twitter avatar to Maryland's logo on Saturday, but has since changed it back to a photo of himself.

He also teased his apparent departure with a tweet: "Dad taught me long ago the only thing consistent about life is change. Sad to say goodbye to such a great group of players. Love you!"

A Terps spokesman did not immediately respond to an email seeking comment.
