North Carolina, Duke, Virginia and Miami are a combined 23-9 in the conference. Georgia Tech is 2-7.
The Terps will face a Duke team Saturday that won't be pleased after enduring a rare loss at Cameron -- its second this season in front of the Crazies -- to Miami on Sunday. Duke plays at North Carolina on Wednesday night.
*Center Alex Len (12 points, nine rebounds against North Carolina Saturday) seems to be emerging again.
Maryland coach Mark Turgeon has simplified Len's tasks on offense.
"Sometimes when he catches the ball it looks like the whole world is moving for him," Turgeon said. "He's got all the tools—it's just relaxing and getting it done."
Turgeon also suggested that officials are getting accustomed to seeing Len -- and that can only help the center.
"I think word is getting around he’s a good shot blocker," Turgeon said.
Here is what Clemson coach Brad Brownell said of Len:
"Big guy, great hands, runs the floor like a forward, does a good job of finishing. Obviously the stronger he gets, the more dynamic he's going to be. Very good shot-blocker."
