Maryland safety Sean Davis breaks down his brother, new Terps commit Isaiah Davis

COLLEGE PARK — Beginning next season, Sean Davis will have the opportunity to watch every one of his brother’s practices first-hand.

Isaiah Davis, a linebacker from St. Stephens and St. Agnes School in Virginia, orally committed to Maryland Tuesday and will be part of the same defense as his standout safety brother, who is entering his junior season.

But Sean Davis has kept up with his brother’s high school career while also training with him during the offseason and spoke about what he believes Isaiah Davis will add to Maryland’s defense.

The 6-foot-1, 215-pound Isaiah Davis is ranked as just a two-star recruit by Rivals, but he said he had scholarship offers from Virginia Tech, Tennessee, Boston College, North Carolina State and Ohio in addition to Maryland.

He is listed as an outside linebacker prospect by Rivals, but he said Terrapins coaches plan to use him at inside linebacker.

“We train him as a cornerback, so he has great agility,” Sean Davis said of his brother. “His feet are great, so him playing outside was good. Him playing inside, he’s a big dude, so he can bang and he can run with you, so I feel like [inside] ‘backer would be a great position for him.

“He’ll be free to make a lot of plays and be able to check the running backs and slots like that.”
