You can now add Florida International to the list of nonconference opponents the Terps will face in coming years.
Maryland said today that it has agreed to a two-year, home-and-home football series with FIU.
FIU will come to Maryland on Aug. 31, 2013. You can pencil that in as your home opener.
Maryland will go to Miam on Sept. 10, 2016 for the next meeting.
The teams last met when Maryland won, 42-28, in 2010.
Here is what we know about future Terps opponents:
2013: FIU, UConn, West Virginia, Clemson, Wake Forest, N.C. State, Florida State, Boston College, Virginia, Virginia Tech, , UNC
2014: West Virginia, Clemson, Wake Forest, N.C. State, Florida State, Boston College, Virginia, Duke, Virginia Tech.
Here are some future opponents: Texas (2017, 2018), Richmond (2015), Howard (2016), Wisconsin (2020, 2021), FIU (2016).
Here are some possible future opponents, meaning the games may not be finalized: James Madison, Rutgers, Old Dominion, Central Florida
