Breakdown: Through coaching changes and graduations and injuries at Maryland, there have always been linebackers like Jackson and Wujciak and Hartsfield. One leaves Maryland, and another fills in. Sometimes he is worse, sometimes he is better, but almost always he is dependable and productive. Trying to identify the next great (or even good) inside linebacker in College Park can be a fool's errand; they often seem to find the mantle before you can. But Burke would be a good bet. He is big. He is strong. He is smart. Rarely did he come off the field for his Coatesville team last season. It's possible he could get bigger and move to the line — he is already 245 pounds, after all — but expect him to contribute wherever he moves. (As an example, he was reportedly even more punishing at fullback than linebacker his senior season.) With linebackers Matt Robinson, Cole Farrand and L.A. Goree all rising seniors, Maryland will lose three starters to graduation after next season. He could be the Terps' next in line then, if not sooner.
