Florida State will be without starting safety Tyler Hunter for its upcoming game against Maryland.

Hunter (neck) was listed as “out” on the team’s official injury report for Saturday’s contest. He missed last week’s game against Boston College as well, and FSU coach Jimbo Fisher said there is no update to his status other than he is day-to-day.

Fisher said earlier in the week that Hunter was seeking “outside opinions.”

Also out for the noon game is defensive tackle Demonte McAllister, who suffered a concussion against Boston College.

Fisher also said that reserve freshman offensive lineman Ira Denson will miss the rest of the season after undergoing shoulder surgery.

The No. 8 Seminoles will get starting defensive end Mario Edwards Jr. back against the No. 25 Terrapins.

Edwards has missed the past two games with a hand injury that required surgery, but Fisher said he was back practicing this week, and appeared healthy and rejuvenated.
